Prizes for best group wikilogues

CILASS are donating the main prize of 2 nights for 2 in a B&B in the Peak District to be awarded to the best group wikilogue recording your adventures on the day (Stella and Willy, in consultation with their independent panel of experts, will be final arbiters).

Haddon Hall also kindly donated a family ticket for the 2008 season (2 adults, 3 children) which was awarded to Bob P for the best travellers tale related in the University Arms on Friday evening (see The Rakes Progress for appropriate context).

The original brief

Essentials

  • The ability to turn up on Friday to the Information Commons by 1.15pm at the very latest - minibuses will depart promptly.
  • What my Granny liked to refer to as "sensible shoes".
  • Some means of communication with the outside world (preferably a mobile phone or, failing that, at least twenty pence for a phone box and the necessary stamina to walk to it).

Desirables

  • A sense of humour.
  • Waterproofs.
  • Money if you're an interiors more than exteriors kind of person (entrance to Arbor Low, via honesty box, £1 last time I was there; entrance to Haddon Hall £8.50; entrance to Chatsworth House & Garden £10.25; Chatsworth Garden only £6.50).
  • A way of telling the time.
  • A sense of adventure.

Willy, you did a great job organizing the trip. Haven't had that much fun in a while.
